2005, cooperation with Ondřej Vavrečka, performance 16mm, 28min, b/w, sound

Four 16mm projector performance by Martin Blažíček and Ondřej Vavrečka.

The performance was designed exclusively for the space of Školská 28 Gallery in Prague inspired by the rectangular lay-out of two projecting stations. Through the grid of rectangular windows the filmscreen placed outside the gallery space was exposed to a communication of two different pictures. The screen was in a 45° angle to all projectors and to the windows. The character of the raw picture penetrating through the rectangular frames of the windows was enhanced by the film loops filmed and animated in specific ways: these contained shots from the gallery interior and exterior, grid textures animation and other pictures, mostly abstract, exploring further the thematic scope of the grid fenomenon on many various levels. The performance in its essence was an improvisation piece with a concrete prepared grid and fixed time limit of 28 minutes. Apart from the film loops a shadowplay of grid objects hanging in front of the projectors was used during the performance.
