2006, cooperation with Ondřej Vavrečka, performance 16mm, 15-20min, b/w, sound
Pleonasmus – stylistic formation occurring when excessive amount of words is used to express a given thought – is a fitted description of the visual part of this performance. Two projectors with operators, lined up in an ax give a way for a visual (inter)play between two objective-lenses, the space and the screen, using only the projected shadows and film loops containing previously filmed assonant shadows. The 3D projection space usually defined by the light cone between the projector and the screen is in this case the action site of the performance; the resulting picture is a projection of film loops as well as a projection of the action and space in front of the screen. The sound part of the performance consists of amplified projector sounds as captured by contact microphones, enhanced by their simultaneous recording on casette tape loops and playing in a circular refference.
