Mikroloops will play a live set with a special guest Georgij Bagdasarov at Uherské Hradiště Summer Film School (July 28). The evening will start with a short set of our favourite female a-v duo Kateřina Zochová / Michaela Dáňová (www.myspace.com/pjanka).

A new collaborative performance of Daniel Thoth (electronic), Pjoni (cello) and Martin Blažíček (live video) will have premiere at LFS on July 29.

Art’s Birthday 2008

Společný večer akustických umění pod záštitou EBU nabídne přímým přenosem Český rozhlas 3 - Vltava ve čtvrtek 17. ledna 2008 od 21.00 - 22.00 hodin. Živé vysílání z karlínského Studia “B” Českého rozhlasu bude zařazeno do satelitní sítě Eurorádia v čase 22.00 - 22.30 hod.

Letošní téma “FOREVER YOUNG” přinese futuristické pohledy do budoucna pop-kultury, zahrnující interakci mezi posluchači, hudebníky a umělci z celé Evropy - tedy jakýsi výlet zvuku a hudby do budoucnosti. Český rozhlas se k těmto celosvětovým oslavám narozenin umění připojuje radio-aktivním happeningem s názvem “SIXTIES RELOADED” jako vyjádřením pocty umění české avantgardy 60. let. Ke zvukové performanci se ve Studiu B Českého rozhlasu sejdou: Jaromír Typlt, Martin Ježek, Slavo Krekovič a Oliver Rehák. V závěru přímého přenosu Michal Cab, a Stanislav Abraham uskuteční improvizovaný remix zahraničních příspěvků. Poté bude následovat půlhodinové vysílání do satelitní sítě Eurorádia. Představí se v něm Lloyd Dunn a Michal Kindernay.

Eutopia

Eutopia is an improvised video performance creating new architectural structures based on images from Prague and London. The theme is architecture and movement, and the way in which architecture shapes movement in urban structures, together with its ever-changing visuals. The latest composition is put togetehr from a series of isolated image fragments of the city environment, creating a new integrated space by means of a video composition (Eutopia = in translation “joyous place”). The performance takes place in two simultaneous presentations in Prague and London, put together in one image and simultaneously projected in both places.

Periferie

Alexander Hammid is an author of a famous 1930 short film ‘Aimless Walk’ (Bezúčelná procházka). This silent picture poem captures (seemingly) “aimless” walk of an unknown man through the urban peripheries of pre-war Prague. It is one of the basic works of the Czech avantgard film and furthermore, till present date it represents an up-to-date expression techniques and invites us for interpretation. It is a film where the pattern of the story is repeated and it shows the mythical character of a eternal “Prague passer-by”, the motives of disunity and look-like, improvisation and non-linear proces of perception and inosculation. The Periferie project is a syhtesis of video, film and live music. The authentic film material of Hammid’s film is complemented with new photo and video pictures, while enriched by and combined with ambient sounds and music shapes and forms.
